              With a jeweled flash, a buzz

              And lingering drink

          The hummingbird thanks me.

                                                                            My heart lifts with joy

                                                                                        and wonder

                                                                                 At this beautiful creature.

                                                                         And there, just like that,                                                                                                                   God says, "hello"!
